This is a specimen of quartz with a gold crystal on it. The gold is small and needs magnification to really appreciate but it is a very nice specimen, perfect for a micromount. It's a altered/resorbed crystal with really interesting form, see photos.
This was found recently while metal detecting on private land near Berringa, Victoria Australia. We took a video of the find > See it here
This specimen is approximately 7x4mm by 5mm high, see photo with the scale in mm. It comes with a hand written label. Sold as a mineral specimen, this is very high purity natural gold in quartz.
