This is a nice freeform cut opal, it is boulder opal from Winton in Queensland Australia This stone has a nice couple of bands of opal running though it showing mostly blues and green with minor yellow and orange. Have a look at the photos and the video below.
This is slightly porous ironstone matrix. It is hand cut and polished in our workshop in rural Victoria.
This stone is approximately 32mm by 10mm, by 6mm thick and 23.85carats in weight, it is untreated, natural stone
