Gold on quartz, Berringa Victoria Australia 25177

This is a really nice specimen with a couple of crystalline bits of Gold in Quartz. This is very bright, rough and very attractive gold embedded on the edge of a piece of white quartz with of ironstone and vughs plus epimorphs of some carbonate mineral.

There is also a dark spot on one side (pictured) that is probably galena, possibly with more gold associated with it. This piece could do with a more though clean, there may be more gold showing as there is the odd tiny bleb around it too.

This was dug by hand from a small scale mine on private land in Berringa, Victoria Australia. You can see the actual dig in the reef this specimen came from in this YouTube video.

This specimen is approximately 31x18x15 mm See photo with the scale in mm.  It comes with a handwritten label. Sold as a mineral specimen, this is very high purity natural gold.
