Product Overview

A larger piece of Quartz with a lot of carbonate minerals (probably Siderite and Dolomite but not tested), on one side on the contact between the quartz and carbonates is a nice patch of gold. This gold is Slightly crystalline and looks incredible under magnification, it looks great by the naked eye too mind you.  There is a small patch of some other mineral on the back too, it looks like Galena but is very small, it could be Sphalerite too.

This would make a very nice specimen for any collection of it could be trimmed down for a smaller specimen (with the chance there is more gold inside too).

This was mined by hand from a small scale reef mine on private land in Berringa, Victoria Australia.

Specimen is approximately 37x40 by 25mm thick, Check out the photo with the scale in mm for an idea of size. It comes with a hand written label.

Please have a good look at the photos and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
