Gold in quartz - Berringa Victoria Australia 25199

.An amazing, bright and somewhat crystalline piece of gold in quartz. The quartz has both carbonate mineral (probably dolomite) plus epimorphs of long gone bladed carbonate crystals. There are also the odd tiny bleb of gold in the stone near the main piece, they need magnification to see though.

This specimen was dug by hand from a small scale mine on private land in Berringa, Victoria Australia. You can see the actual dig in the reef this specimen came from in YouTube video

This specimen is approximately 18x15mm by 12mm, see photo with the scale in mm.  It comes with a handwritten label.  Sold as a mineral specimen, this is very high purity natural gold in quartz.
