Gold in Quartz Berringa Victoria Australia (25202)

This specimen has a line of bright flakes of wiry gold sitting on top of it, it displays really well as it sits nicely on the shelf. It is white reef quartz with some iron oxides plus gold.

The gold is very bright and shows really interesting form under magnification.  

This was dug by hand from a small scale reef mine on private land in Berringa, Victoria Australia. You can see the actual dig in the reef this specimen came from in this Youtube Video

This specimen is approximately 24x14 mm by 12mm, see photo with the scale in mm.  It comes with a handwritten label. 

Sold as a mineral specimen, this is very high purity natural gold in quartz.
