Hyalite Opal-AN on Basalt, Ballarat Victoria Australia 20058
This is a specimen of Opal-AN in a small cavity in basalt, found in Alfredton, a suburb of Ballarat recently trimmed from a find in 2014, the site is no longer accessible. This specimen shows nice, typical form of transparent, colourless Hyalite opal sitting with micro Hematite and Arigine crystals plus other species. All this in a piece of hard grey basalt. Specimen is 26mm x 19mm by 20mm.
