Product Overview
This is a chip of Quartz with several bright bits of gold in and around a cavity in it. a nice micromount specimen. There are epimorphs of long gone carbonate minerals (probably Siderite) in the cavity. The gold grains are small but there are several in this specimen and quite possibly more within the quartz.
This is from a recent find in a small scale reef mine on private land in Berringa, Victoria Australia
Specimen is approximately 21x14mm by 9mm thick, please see the photo with the mm scale for an idea. It comes with a hand written label.
